It is recommended you book in advance as to have multiple flight time options and early on in your stay in Zermatt as to have the option to reschedule your flight if it gets cancelled due to bad weather conditions.

If you try and book the same day and we are not answering it’s that we are flying, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Shoes are the most important, you need to have good hiking or mountain boots. If you do not have your own, you can hire some from any of the sports shops in Zermatt. NO city or tennis shoes allowed.

You should dress in accordance with the time of year and daily conditions. We have a fly suit that can go over your clothing. We also provide you with a helmet and some gloves. Sunglasses are highly recommended to keep the wind from making your eyes water during the flight and especially in the winter to protect from the snow glare.

No heavy or bulky luggage is allowed. Small and lightweight bags are permitted if we are meeting you on the mountain.

We have several meeting points. We will send you a pin point on Google maps at the time of your booking. This may change we could send you a new meeting point before your meeting time.

Meeting time is important, please respect this as you would when flying commercial planes.

Pilots may be delayed; they will do their best to inform you before your meeting time.

There is no prior experience required but you need to listen carefully to your pilot’s briefing.

We accept passengers from age 5 to 70. If you are under 16 you will need parental approval. You need to be fit enough to run 5 to 20 meters on a gentle slope to get into the air safely.

We have a weight limit of 90kg (198 pounds, 14 stones), however if you are above this weight we would need to determine your fitness level and check the conditions on the day of your booking.

Some people suffer more than others from motion sickness. If you know you suffer from motion sickness following your experience in cars, boats or planes, please take a tablet 1h before your flight. Kindly inform your pilot about this.

Please also avoid having big meals just before your flight, this goes for everyone.

Your flight price does not include getting to the take-off area. Please wait for the arrival of your pilot at the meeting point to help you purchase your one-way ticket to the take-off area unless you have a valid ski pass, day pass or a peak pass.

The actual flight time will depend on what flight you have booked but the whole experience from meeting point to the landing usually takes between 1h30 to 2 hours.

We could be delayed by weather or technical problems due to transportation.

This is an optional service and is not included in the flight price.

Pilots will take photos and videos of your experience unless you ask them not to. You can preorder this service at the time of your booking or purchase them after your flight. They will be uploaded to your mobile phone at the landing area.

The cost is 40chf per person for the package which usually consists of a 100+photos and minimum 5 videos.

For most passengers it is a first-time experience and everyone has a varying degree of apprehension before the flight as it’s the big unknown. This disappears after take-off letting you enjoy the flight. This also goes for people who are scared of heights.

Paragliding tandem flights in Switzerland are very safe, the Swiss license is one of the best rated license worldwide and all our pilots are fully licensed with many years of experience. However, passengers involved in a paragliding flight must be aware this can involve risks. That the risk zero does not exist in this activity.

Pilots reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your flight at any time for safety reasons.

All passengers should be insured by their own health and accident insurance. However All Cloud 9 tandem pilots contract a liability insurance covering up to.5 million  prejudices caused to passengers.

If you reside in Europe then paragliding should be covered by your insurance.

However, if you are not insured sufficiently or you do not reside in Europe, Cloud 9 tandems or its contracted pilots also possess a hospital fee insurance covering passengers hospital fees up to 100 000chf. Your insurance will be sollicited first and only when we have proof your insurance is insufficient will Cloud 9 tandems or pilots use there insurance.

If Cloud 9 tandems or its pilots need to cancel your flight for any reasons you will get a full refund this is usually due to bad weather, gear problem, pilot sick or no transport to take off area.

If you cancel, you will need to do it 24h prior to your flight time to get a refund.

Cloud 9 tandems accepts payments in Swiss francs only, in cash, with Twint, by bank transfers or with credit cards.

A payment in advance is required to validate your booking; we will send you a payment link.

Prices on our website for the different flight options only include your flight and are in Swiss Francs.
